PEST CONTROL

Having mouse control is important, becuase mice are the most common rodent pest in most parts of the world.

Mice breed rapidly and adapt quickly to changing conditions. A female can reproduce as young as 6 weeks and can produce more than 35 young per year.

Because of their small size, they can enter structures with an opening as small as a dime.

MICE HABITAT & HABITS

Abundant in the US, mice are found in all types of habitats.

They are nocturnal and spend their days in their nests. They prefer to nest in dark secluded areas and often build nests out of packing materials, wall insulation, paper products, fabrics, or cotton, Mice can live in structures or outdoors.

Mice prefer to eat seeds, nuts, and insects, but will eat many kinds of food including fruit, invertebrates, fungi, and green vegetation.

They have very poor eyesight but are excellent climbers and can jump up to a foot high.

PEST THREAT LEVEL

9/10

Mice carry disease.  Mice contaminate food and spread their potentially life-threatening diseases: Lyme disease, Salmonella, rat-bite fever, and the Hantavirus.

They cause allergies, bring fleas, mites, ticks and lice into your home.

Micro-droplets of mouse urine can cause allergies and asthmatic reactions.

Their infestation multiplies rapidly.  Females can reproduce as early as 6 weeks of age and produce a litter of 3-6 young up to 10 times per year.  Because of this, a mouse population can double every month – with a population of 4 can because a full colony of over 1,000 after just ONE YEAR!!

Mice destroy homes.  Mice gnaw through walls, ceilings, ductwork, and insulation.  Mice love chewing on wires and in doing so, create another hazard – electrical fire risks all throughout your home.

Their rapidly multiplying population and ability to cause illness along with structural damage makes mice one of the most threatening pests that A-1 helps control.
