Fumigation

Fumigation is the only whole-structure method proven to eliminate all drywood termite infestations. The structure is completely filled with Vikane gas fumigant which essentially suffocates or poisons the pests in the structure. Vikane gas does not deplete the ozone layer. There are some preparations required in order to perform a structural fumigation which include: bagging food and other consumables, lodging/relocation (3 days), removing pets and plants from the structure, and security and safety of the structure while you are away.

There are other preparations that are required for a scheduled fumigation, please see “A Guide Though the Fumigation Process” for additional information.
